How did we come to inherit lives that can be so full,

and yet still ache with hunger?

What have we forgotten beneath the noise?

What waits beneath all that certainty?

Beneath the fear?

Beneath the shame?

What is already arriving beneath the stories we were given about

who we are?

and who we are able be?

What happens when comfort asks more of the world than the world can bear?

When our conveniences arrive carrying histories we are cultured not to see?

What happens to a people taught to doubt their own knowing?

And what becomes possible when we learn to listen again?

To one another.

To ourselves.

To the body’s language before explanation.

To the living world

To all the subtle ways life has never stopped speaking ~
